Soup

3/4 Unregistered Meat Sow

Soup may be ¾ KuneKune and technically unregistered, but she embodies everything people love about the breed. Calm and personable, she stays relaxed even when farrowing on the hottest July afternoons, making her a delight to manage and a stress-free mother for her litters. Her piglets inherit her easygoing nature—as well as the KuneKune’s signature short snout and efficient grazing habit—but it’s the pork they grow that truly sets them apart. Slow-growing on pasture, Soup’s offspring finish with fine intramuscular marbling, a clean layer of buttery fat, and a depth of flavor more often associated with heritage breeds twice their age. Customers rave about its tenderness, rich umami, and naturally sweet finish—qualities that have earned repeat orders and glowing word-of-mouth for our farm. In short, Soup isn’t just a gentle sow; she’s the cornerstone of a bloodline that turns sunshine and grass into premium, chef-worthy pork.

Pretty Girl

7/8 Unregistered Gilt

A tan pig drinking from a metal spigot on a black trough, with a white bucket on top, in a muddy fenced area with trees in the background.

Sired by AKKPS 10134 “Glory Meadows Farm BH Tutaki 4” (“Howie”)—a ginger-and-black boar from the celebrated BH Tutaki and Rebecca Gina bloodlines—Pretty Girl carries registered genetics on her paternal side and Soup’s proven, pasture-raised thrift on her maternal side. The combination gives her that classic KuneKune silhouette: short up-turned snout, roomy barrel, twin wattles, and an effortless, heads-down grazing style that keeps feed costs low while finishing beautifully on forage.

Temperament is pure gold. Like Soup, she stays cool under pressure, yet she shows the calm confidence and easy trainability of Howie’s line; pen moves, and routine health checks all happen with zero drama. Test carcass of a full brother indicates why homesteader keep asking when her first litter will be available:

  • Fine spider-web marbling throughout the loin and shoulder

  • Snow-white, clean-tasting back-fat—ideal for leaf-lard or dry-cured charcuterie

  • Rich, naturally sweet flavor with a buttery finish that rivals long-aged heritage pork

Add in strong teat spacing, a wide pelvis, and tidy feet, and Pretty Girl is set to follow Soup as the next cornerstone of our meat line—turning grass, acorns, and sunshine into chef-grade pork that sells itself.
